Blizzard Arcade Will Let Gamers Sell Their StarCraft II Mods

Launching alongside StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm will be the Blizzard Arcade, a portal that will grant easy access to the most popular mods for Blizzard's signature sci-fi RTS.


To be available for both purchasers of Heart of the Swarm and existing Wings of Liberty owners, the Blizzard Arcade will ultimately double as a store, allowing top-flight modders to sell their content. At launch, however, it will only be possible to distribute said mods for free.

Heart of the Swarm will also feature a new-and-improved level editor that will allow modders to import new character models from 3DS Max. The new cut-scene editor will also allow modders to create movies with existing and user-created art assets.
